how do I plan a trip?
Once you have logged in, click the
add trip
button, this will take you to the page where you can start filling in your destination.
Fill in city, state, arrival and departure dates.
Just below this you will see Notify and View.
Notify:
Allows you to choose what group or groups will be contacted should your paths cross. Whether you're traveling to their city or you happen to both be traveling to the same city.
View:
Allows you to choose who may see your trip online.
When finished, click submit.
If your trip happens to coincide with someone in your Jetwerk, you will both receive an email 30 days prior to your leaving.
You will also receive follow up emails 14 ,7 and 2 days before you leave.
how do I invite people?
When you click on the
invite
button, a drop down menu with 4 choices will appear.
Single:
You want to invite 1 person. Here you will enter that persons first and last name along with their email address.
Multiple:
Clicking Multiple will allow you to send several invitations at one time.
Once you have sent your invitations, take a break.
You will need to wait for your buddies to respond and be part of your Jetwerk.
If you're in a hurry, pick up the phone and call them, tell them to check their email.
Pending:
Clicking here will show you a list of all invitations you've sent but, have not been responded to yet.
Accepted:
Clicking here will show you a list of all your accepted invitations.
what is the 'my contacts' section
This section allows you to view members of your Jetwerk (imagine that).
This section also allows you to organize your contacts into 4 groups:
Friends, Family, Business, and Other.
This detirmines who will be notified of upcoming trips (if your paths are crossing, of course) and who may view your trips online.
The drop down menu under
My Jetwerk
has 6 options.
All:
This section allows you to view and update all of your contacts.
Friends:
This section allows you to view and update the contacts you have in the Friends group.
Family:
This section allows you to view and update the contacts you have in the Family group.
Business:
This section allows you to view and update the contacts you have in the Business group.
Other:
This section allows you to view and update the contacts you have in the Other group.
You will also be able to view that contact's schedule by clicking the globe under 'View Schedule'.
what is the 'my trips' section?
Here you will see your scheduled trips on a map and listed.
By clicking the trip number, under Edit in the list, you may update the dates, the destination, the Notify, and the View settings for that trip.
You may also completely remove the trip from your schedule.
You may also add trips from this section by clicking the 'Add Trip' button under the trip listing.
what is the 'profile' section?
The
profile
section allows you to update your account settings.
Once again, imagine that!
Here you may change your name, update your email address, and change your Home City.
You may also update your Schedule View setting here.
The Schedule View allows you to determine who may view your schedule overall.
There are three options for the Schedule View setting.
Public:
Selecting this setting will allow any Jetwerk member to search for your name and view your current schedule.
My Jetwerk:
This setting ensures that only people in
your
Jetwerk will be able to view your schedule.
This setting is an OVERALL setting.
You will still be able to select which Contact Groups are able to view individual trips when planning or updating the trip.
Invisible:
The Invisible setting is used if you do not want your account to be returned when a member does a search.
Members of
your
Jetwerk will still be able to view your schedule.
